Company history
Zakłady Mięsne Viando (Viando Meat Producers) were established in 1992 as a family business of Wanda and Alojzy Szczupak. At first, the products made by the company were available in the chain of local sales points, including first brand name retail outlets. In the following year the products from Radojewice found their way to the customers in other regions of Poland. A wide variety and high quality of our meat products quickly gained customers' appreciation. It is the customers for whom Viando created a chain of own stores, in a number of locations including Inowrocław, Bydgoszcz, Toruń and Poznań. At present, the chain comprises of more than 50 sales points and the next ones are soon to be opened. Also, our products are sold directly to distribution networks and other shops. More than 18 years of experience have resulted in great success in both production and sales. At the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 the company was transformed into Zakłady Mięsne Viando Spółka z o.o. spółka komandytowa (Viando Meat Producers Limited Liability Company and Limited Partnership).

Location
VIANDO is located in Radojewice – a picturesque village situated in Kujawy-Pomerania province, Dąbrowa Biskupia commune. The name Radojewice comes from a war council ("rada" means "council" in Polish), believed to have been held here by a Polish king Władysław Łokietek on his way to the Battle of Płowce. A legend has it that an oak tree and a stone circle placed in the local park are mementos of this event. Dąbrowa Biskupia commune is known for its great care for environmental protection and pro-green activities. On the territory of the commune there are two nature reserves, Rejna and Balczewo. An exceptional ecological quality of this region is proved by numerous stork's nests, which may be found in every village.

Environment
Environmental protection is one of the priorities of Viando. It has been accomplished by:
- complying with ISO 14001 European Union standards;
- improving the environmental management system; 
- reducing the amount of pollution emitted; 
- optimisation of the environment influencing processes;
- breeding and production process carried out with respect for environment and organic farming.

Quality and taste
The quality of the meat processed at VIANDO is guaranteed by a high share of raw material from our self-bred pigs, which is annually amount to nearly 20 thousand heads. High quality and excellent taste of our products have been awarded many times. The most notable awards are: MTP POLAGRA FOOD "Gold Medals" awarded to VIANDO for Sausages "Smerfy" (1998), Polska Pieczona (Polish Roasted) Sausage (1999) and Hot-dog Sausage "Extra" (2000). Moreover, in 1998 the company was awarded the title of "Polish Food Producer" for Polska Pieczona (Polish Roasted) Sausage by E. Kwiatkowski Association in Poznań. VIANDO is one of the few companies in meat processing business holding the "Q" quality mark. The secret of unique taste and appearance of our meat products lies in original traditional Polish recipes based on natural spices, such as: salt, pepper, garlic, marjoram.
